You've seen it on Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham, accompanied
by smoldering eye makeup and strategically pieced-out layers:
the short, short cut. It turns out their cheek-dusting styles
are a sign of things to come. "The trends this spring
for haircuts are going to be extremely short, like a modern
pixie," says Edmondo Blando, owner of Salon Vanity in
Philadelphia. Medium length hair will go with "lots of
bangs and face framing layers," adds Blando, "which
are very complimentary for many different face shapes."
"For those who already have the short 'Katie Holmes'
look, most will go shorter, to more of a 'Posh-bob,"
he says, referencing Beck-ham's super chic profile. If you
stay long, the way to do it is with a lot of movement at the
ends of the hair, emulating the shorter, fluid look as well,
says Blando.
